Molecular Formula: C14H11N2O4S Na Solubility: Soluble in water with reddish yellow color, turns dark brown on addition of cone. NaOH or gives. bronish tellow precipitate on addition of addition of cone. HCL Soluble in cone. H2SO4 with magenta red colour, on dilution gives brownish yellow precipitate. Soluble in ethyl alcohol. Application: For dyeing and printig of wool, nylon, and silk, Other uses are in paper, lether, biological stain and indicator. Heavy metal salts of dye is for paper coating, transperant pigments in tin printing, and in moulding powders. | |
